two.2.4) Description of the procurement
This Service Specification describes the key features of the Community Health and Wellbeing Facility (CHWBF), based in ‘Crown Buildings’ in Wrexham town centre and outlines the expectations of the Managing Agent for the facility. It is based around an outcome-focused approach to commissioning and reflects the need for the Managing Agent to take a co-productive and strengths-based, community asset-based approach to service provision in the facility. The Service Specification shall be read in conjunction with the main contract terms and conditions as part of the Community Health and Wellbeing Facility Agreement.
The Community Health and Wellbeing Facility is a new multi-agency facility developed within the newly refurbished Crown Buildings, with an aim to provide integrated community, health, social care and third sector services in a safe environment with accessible facilities, for all ages and abilities, which compliments existing service provision.
The intention is for the facility to managed and run on a day-to-day basis by a Managing Agent, overseen by a Steering Group comprising representatives from BCUHB, WCBC and AVOW.
The Managing Agent shall support the delivery of the Welsh Government’s ‘A Healthier Wales’ strategy, working co-productively with established partners and stakeholders and developing relationships with new ones, not least Wrexham’s vast third sector networks and providers.
A maximum budget of 200,000 GBP has been allocated to this project for the first year and bids will be evaluated as per Stage 2 of Appendix B to this tender ‘The Evaluation Process’.
