For Extra Care housing, the Council's vision is for quality housing for older people who wish to live independently with high quality care and support services that promote well-being, meet individual needs, lifestyles and inclusive communities.

The London Borough of Havering (the Council) is commissioning a Care & Well-Being Support Service in the borough's three Extra Care Schemes for a three year contract (+1 year plus 1 year extension option) with a commencement date of 1st December 2023. Whilst Providers will be familiar with the term 'care' (i.e. refers to the care service users receive directly), the term 'well-being support' widens the work associated with housing related support (further detail in Section 6.3).
The Council is seeking to commission one provider to deliver this service across the three Extra Care schemes in Havering to deliver efficiencies.
