Description
Wrexham County Borough Council has provisionally appointed a sole Contractor to undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated remedial works as and when instructed. The work may be located anywhere across Wrexham County Borough with all WCBC owned and / or managed buildings falling within the scope of this Contract. The Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) will be delivered as part of a structured five-year testing cycle to ensure a balanced and manageable programme. The works will be carried out in the following stages (assuming the contract is extended accordingly):- Year 1: up to 2,400 properties- Year 2: up to 2,400 properties- Year 3: up to 2,400 properties- Year 4: up to 2,400 properties- Year 5: up to 2,400 properties. In Year 6, the programme will recommence with the retesting of the initial 2,400 properties inspected in Year 1, in line with the periodic inspection requirements.
Contracted Work will be let through the JCT Measured term Contract (MTC) 2016. The initial Contract will run for two (2) years. The Contract may be extended for two further periods of two years. The total Contract Period including all allowable extensions is six (6) years.
WCBC will now be entering into a mandatory standstill period before proceeding with award of contract.

The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
Throughout the term of the Contract it may be possible that WCBC receives additional funding that will allow for an increase in service provision / units / or equivalent supplied through this Contract.
Where additional funding becomes available, regardless of its source, WCBC may request the successful Contractor(s) to increase or enhance the service being provided. Examples include:
- An increase in the amount of Contracted Work delivered through this Contract
- Additional staffing resources to allow for an increase in the amount of contract deliverables,
Please note that the above is not an exhaustive list.
As a result of the potential for an increase in funding during the contract term it is expected that the successful Contractor(s) will work with WCBC to provide a flexible and scalable service to allow for potential increases or changes in service provision.
In addition to the above, WCBC may instruct the Contractor(s) to carry out Contracted Work to properties managed by WCBC’s Local Lettings Service. It may also be possible that WCBC takes on additional properties throughout the Contract Term that would be covered by this contract. These properties may be purchased, leased, rented or new builds that WCBC has taken ownership and / or responsibility for.
Please note that WCBC cannot guarantee that there will be any sort of increase in funding or work during the Contract term.
