Waverley Borough Council is hosting a virtual market engagement event to seek supplier input for an upcoming procurement for a new build leisure centre in Cranleigh, built to Passivhaus standards. The purpose of this event is:

- For Waverley Borough Council to present the high level scope for the works associated with Cranleigh Leisure Centre

- To raise market awareness of the potential opportunities associated with the upcoming procurement

- To give an indication of the proposed procurement strategy including potential timelines

- To receive feedback on the proposals presented via a questionnaire on various aspects of the procurement and construction activity.

Market feedback is encouraged to enable Waverley Borough Council to go to prepare the ITT in an attractive way to suppliers.

The event is planned for 10:00am, Wednesday 10 April 2024. If you are interested in registering for this event please email alena.bilovodska@guildford.gov.uk with the subject title "CLC Supplier Event".

The deadline for registrations is Noon, 9 April 2024.

The leisure centre build may include elements associated with a new build leisure centre and demolition of the old site in the Village Way car park.

A high level summary of the main features are: 25m x 6 lane main pool

 13m x 10m teaching pool with moveable floor

 Spectator seating - 40 for main pool and 35 for teaching pool

 110 station gym

 4 multi-purpose exercise studios

 1 spinning studio

 Soft play area (120 sqm on two levels)

 2 Consultation / Treatment rooms

 Sauna / Steam

 Café (50 covers)

 Reception and office space

The contract is anticipated to be an JCT Design and Build.

2) Waverley Borough Council reserves the right not to commence any procurement process or award any contracts in respect of this notice and to amend the requirements stated in this notice (or as stated in any pre-procurement market engagement documents);

3) Publication of this PIN is part of the normal Waverley Borough Council due diligence process on its options, and the publication of this PIN does not indicate that a decision has been made on a particular route for a procurement and/or subsequent contract award, if any.

4) Registration does not bind Waverley Borough Council to include any party/economic operator in the market engagement exercise;

5) Waverley Borough Council is not obliged to communicate with any parties/economic operators that register after the deadline for registration has passed;

6) Waverley Borough Council is not obliged to respond to any correspondence on this notice or any matter related to this pre-procurement market engagement exercise and the decision to accept the registration of any interested party/economic operator, and subsequent inclusion in any engagement process shall remain with Waverley Borough Council alone.

9) Non-participation in this process will not prevent any party/economic operator from participating in any procurement process in due course, except that if the procurement route chosen is through an existing framework, only those contractors currently with framework agreements may participate;

10) Given the early stage of the project, and the anticipated impact of the market engagement process, and other internal processes, any information provided to the market shall be subject to change and Waverley Borough Council (insofar as it is permitted by UK law) shall not be liable for any losses incurred by any party/economic operator as a result of reliance on such information.
