Waverley Borough Council is hosting a virtual market engagement event to seek supplier input for an upcoming procurement for a new build leisure centre in Cranleigh, built to Passivhaus standards. The purpose of this event is:
- For Waverley Borough Council to present the high level scope for the works associated with Cranleigh Leisure Centre
- To raise market awareness of the potential opportunities associated with the upcoming procurement
- To give an indication of the proposed procurement strategy including potential timelines
- To receive feedback on the proposals presented via a questionnaire on various aspects of the procurement and construction activity.
Market feedback is encouraged to enable Waverley Borough Council to go to prepare the ITT in an attractive way to suppliers.

The leisure centre build may include elements associated with a new build leisure centre and demolition of the old site in the Village Way car park.
A high level summary of the main features are: 25m x 6 lane main pool
13m x 10m teaching pool with moveable floor
Spectator seating - 40 for main pool and 35 for teaching pool
110 station gym
4 multi-purpose exercise studios
1 spinning studio
Soft play area (120 sqm on two levels)

10) Given the early stage of the project, and the anticipated impact of the market engagement process, and other internal processes, any information provided to the market shall be subject to change and Waverley Borough Council (insofar as it is permitted by UK law) shall not be liable for any losses incurred by any party/economic operator as a result of reliance on such information.
