Merseytravel are seeking bids from transport operators for the Merseylink Service.
The Merseylink service provides a membership-based door to door service for people of Merseyside with physical, sensory or cognitive impairments, or who are unable to access or use mainstream public transport without insurmountable difficulties.
Membership of the scheme and bookings are managed day to day within the Merseytravel customer contact centre with operators providing resource-based contract provision for specified vehicles and drivers operating 10 hours per day/365 days per year.
It should be noted that there is the potential for TUPE to apply to these contract renewals and operators when bidding can also submit alternative bids.
