12 months, scope remains the same, no prior changes.
seven.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
Building Materials is a high value/high risk contract, due for re-procurement commencing April 2023. The complexity of the procurement requires high management and operational resource input and, with delivery of SBHA’s investment programme as the priority coupled with vacancies in key commissioning roles in Property Services, the procurement project would be challenging to resource. The modification ensures that the overall nature of the contract is not altered, and the value of the extension does not exceed 50% of the original contract value.
seven.2.3) Increase in price
Updated total contract value before the modifications (taking into account possible earlier contract modifications, price adaptions and average inflation)
Value excluding VAT: £3,166,667
Total contract value after the modifications
Value excluding VAT: £4,266,667
