Description

Luton Council have a requirement to appoint a single provider to supply, maintain and service fire safety equipment in our corporate buildings to meet the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, including but not limited to;

Fire Extinguishers, Fire Control panels, Fire Blankets, Call Points etc. The Contractor must provide a 24/7 hour 365 day manned telephone number for receiving all emergency calls and have an online portal which the Client can access.

This tender notice is for the award of a public contract through a competitive flexible procedure. There is no negotiation stage. Top two highest scoring Bidders to be taken to interview and presentation stage. All initial bids will be evaluated.

Competitive flexible procedure description

All bids submitted will be compliance checked and then evaluated for quality, social value and pricing. At the end of this stage the top two highest scoring bidders will be invited to interview and presentation stage. The highest scoring bidder at the end of this stage will have financial due diligence undertaken, if they pass this they will be the successful Provider. If they do not pass the process will be repeated with the second highest bidder, if they pass they will become successful Provider.

Justification for not publishing a preliminary market engagement notice

This is a re-procurement of a contract that was entered into at the end of last year and services were subsequently withdrawn hence the re-procurement.
