two.1.4) Short description
Manchester Central is currently looking for a Service Partner to;
• Provide and manage workers for a range of core and variable event cleaning services
• Provide and manage waste and recycling services
• Conduct all window cleaning across the venue
• Provide, maintain, and manage all washroom services (including fem hygiene vending, air fresheners, sanitary and clinical waste disposal)
• Provide and manage all cleaning materials and consumables (hand towels, toilet roll, hand soap, bin bags, hand sanitiser etc)
• Equipment to be provided and managed by the Service Partner.
The successful Service Partner will be committed to the development of the cleaning function and will provide competent staff members who have received the relevant training applied to such roles. All core employees are expecting to complete a half day incident / evacuation training facilitated by Manchester Central.
The Service Partner will ensure that personnel onsite at Manchester Central are NOT self-employed OR zero-hour employees. Flexible working arrangements via annualised hours or casual contracts for service arrangements are permissible. As an employer Manchester Central is committed to paying staff the Real Living wage.
Members of staff will be providing services to clients and delegates at Manchester Central, and therefore must be fully conversant, fitting in with Manchester Central’s values.
The Contract period will be for three (3) years with a Manchester Central only option to extend for up to an additional two (2) years. It is intended for the contract to commence 1st August 2022 at 7.00am.
There will be an opportunity for a site visit to Manchester Central on a live event on 27th April and 11th May between 10-4pm and again on the breakdown of an event on the 12th of May between 5-8pm. The visit will take the form of a small briefing, followed by a walk-around of the venue in order to observe the live and breakdown of an event and an opportunity for open questions.

Manchester Central will invite the top 3 bidders to make a formal presentation in support of their bid on 13th June 2022 – please ensure you are available on this date. Further information will be provided to bidders nearer the time; however, the presentation may include areas such as managing a similar contract, customer service, scheduling, and deployment.
