Engagement process description

To begin the prior engagement process for the tender, a list of pre-approved suppliers on the YPO 402-24 framework were reviewed, specifically those eligible to provide services under Lot 1c within the North West region. The objective was to ensure that these suppliers could deliver the full range of translation services required, covering everything from written document translations to possible interpretation services across multiple languages.

Once the eligible suppliers were identified, a Request for Information (RFI) to assess their experience and expertise in translation services was developed. The RFI was structured to gather key information on the suppliers' backgrounds, such as their experience in the translation industry, specifically in the North West region. It also sought to understand their capacity to handle various types of translation needs specifically their legal experience, medical, or technical translations. Case studies, references, and examples of previous translation work were requested to better gauge the suppliers' track record and performance.

After sending the RFI to the identified suppliers, four responded with the requested information. Each response was carefully reviewed to determine the level of experience and capability of the suppliers.
