two.2.4) Description of the procurement

In addition to the backup support for the in-house drainage team during the working hours, the contractor will provide all drainage excavation repairs, including collapsed pipework and all out-of-hours repairs. The scope will include domestic and communal repairs and renewals where required.

Examples of work that may be carried out under the contract include, but are not limited to:

• Drainage pipework repairs running through properties

• Drainage pipework repairs within communal areas and estate boundaries

• Drainage pipework re-runs

• Excavation and trenching to access collapsed drainage pipework and leaks through soft and hard ground

• Blockages internal (and all associated works, e.g. rodding and sanisnakes)

• Blockages external (and all associated works, e.g. rodding and sanisnakes)

• Jetting

• Gully Suckers

• Removal of blockage waste (irrespective of waste type) and wash down of contaminated area external

• Drain lining

• Descales

• Collapsed drains (including all associated works, e.g. excavation, drilling etc.)

• Drainage related plumbing external (e.g. replacing a stack)

• Drainage related plumbing internal (e.g. removing and refixing a toilet pan to access a blockage)

• Dig ups (drainage)

• Environmental cleans (following back surge)

• Aquavac (wet-vac)

The appointed contractor is expected to provide a high-quality service at the client’s properties and for residents in those properties. This includes satisfactorily completing orders within the specified time periods, good customer liaison, efficient and accurate paperwork, prompt submission of accounts, and immediately responding to any complaints received.

The contractor will be the sole provider for the out-of-hours drainage works. Therefore, the contractor must provide a reliable out-of-hours service and can promptly attend, clear drain blockages, and deal with urgent drainage-related matters during these times. The work will include jetting that might need to be completed out-of-hours (e.g. 3 am) to prevent a blockage backsurging and causing property damage.

This contract includes responsive repairs, i.e. day-to-day minor repairs that need to be dealt with quickly to keep properties in reasonable order and to a tenantable standard.
