The Authority seeks to establish a Framework Agreement with a number of suppliers for the supply of labour, vehicles and plant as per the specification to assist in the delivery of the Winter Service based at Fushiebridge Depot, Gorebridge. The contract will be split into lots and bidders are invitied to apply for one or more lots. The lots available are:

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

For use to support with hand clearing of snow and hand gritting in areas where it is not appropriate for vehicle access.

The labour resource will be the provision of 3 and 2 person crews. The number of crews required will vary dependent upon demand and weather conditions.

The transport requirements are for pick-ups and/or vans with trailers capable of taking up to 1 tonne of salt / grit for clearing snow from footways or spread salt as instructed by MCRS.

The Authority also has a requirement for additional labour crews to be provided with a mini-excavator to support snow and ice clearing activities.

All transport provided must be fully road legal, complying to VOSA requirements.

The labour force required must be suitably skilled and experienced in the works they will be undertaking.
