two.1.4) Short description

Surrey County Council are holding a market engagement event on 05 May 2022 at 11am-1pm focusing on Extra Care Housing development and housing management. We will use this interactive session to share details of 4 sites that the Council is making available for development. The session will be attended by a range of senior officers from across the council who will be able to respond to questions and provide an outline of our thinking around the procurement process that we will be following to appoint a strategic partner to develop and provide housing management at these sites.

Surrey County Council’s ambition is to promote people's independence and wellbeing, through personalised care and support that focuses upon their strengths and the outcomes they want to achieve by enabling choice and control.

Our Accommodation with Care and Support Strategy will help to realise this vision through the delivery of 725 additional units of affordable Extra Care Housing in the county. While we will explore a range of approaches to achieve this, a significant share of the delivery will be through strategic partnerships with development and housing management partners on sites that we own.

After successfully tendering for the development and operation of Extra Care Housing at a site in Guildford, we now wish to bring the market’s attention to four further sites, which will form the basis for our next tender which we intend to launch in the first half of this year:

• Brockhurst, Ottershaw

• Pinehurst, Camberley

• Lakeside, Frimley

• Salisbury Rd, Ewell

We are keen to provide potential bidders with advance details of each site, to outline our procurement approach and to answer any questions. If you have any questions in advance, please share these with us via our e-sourcing portal so that we can respond to them at the event.

In order to maximise attendance we will run the session virtually via MS Teams.

If you would be interested in attending this market engagement event please register your interest via our e-sourcing portal at https://supplierlive.proactisp2p.com
