The University requires a quality, value for money service solution for provision of building maintenance services. The scope of the contract will include repair and maintenance of building fabric, mechanical and electrical assets in the University's non-residential and non-residential properties. Planned, preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance services will be required. Low value optional project and minor works are also within scope.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The University of the West of England's (UWE) 2030 Strategy (which can be found here https://www.uwe.ac.uk/about/values-vision-strategy/strategy-2030) sets out a confident, ambitious future for UWE Bristol and focuses on our ultimate goal - Transforming Futures – Focusing on, our Purpose, our People, and our Place. The approximate scale of maintenance activities across UWE campuses is 24,000 Reactive tasks p.a broken down as follows:- Electrical 9000 Fabric 6000 Mechanical 9000 Planned 83,000 tasks p.a (excluding minor works). Electrical 17000 Fabric 13000 Fire(soft) 28000 Mechanical 25000 Note this are approximate to give the scale of the contract In addition to this the successful supplier may also be appointed to carry out minor project works, approx. 1000 jobs p.a. This is at the discretion of the University based on the Contractors performance The maintenance of the built environment is an essential precursor to achieving these ambitions. The scope of the contract will include repair and maintenance of building fabric, mechanical and electrical assets and low value project works in the University's non-residential and non-residential properties. Planned, preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance services will be required. UWE principally consists of 3 (three) main campuses within a 6-mile radius of Bristol city centre. The University may require service scaling and operational flexibility arising from (but not limited to) changes to University organisation or campus configuration. The conditions of contract will be based on the NEC4 Term Service Contract June 2017 with additional conditions of contract as set out in accordance with the procurement documents.The primary aim of the procurement is to consistently deliver high quality standards of service across the University’s campuses and related facilities, with service delivery practices and methodologies which can be monitored and measured accordingly. Expressions of interest are invited from suppliers who should complete the Selection Questionnaire and who will need to demonstrate competency and experience in managing similar contract requirements, and the ability to procure the appropriate supply chain as principal contractor.Further details of this procurement are set out in the SQ, ITT and related procurement documents on the In-tend website referred to in Section I.3 above
