This is for the continuation and increase in scope of an existing project currently being delivered in Dorset. The current ‘Bike It’ Project provides active travel promotion (walking, scooting and cycling) on the school journey to create a lasting culture of sustainable travel within Dorset's schools.
The current project includes 2 FTE Officers and targets schools across Dorset including in Weymouth & Portland, Dorchester, Wimborne & Colehill, Blandford, Ferndown, Verwood and other market towns in Dorset as required by the client. The intention is to award a new contract for continuation of the same or equivalent project. This will initially be to 9th August 2022. Further options will exist to extend by additional years, running August to August to align with the academic year up to an additional 2 periods creating a maximum contract term of approximately 40 months, subject to funding.
