To support the construction of the Dairy Nexus and its component parts we require the services of a professional Construction Project Manager (PM), preferably with experience in the FE/HE sector with emphasis on biological sciences, animal sciences and the environment.

The initial phase of the Dairy Nexus project will focus on RIBA Stage 1 which includes the completion of a feasibility study for inclusion in the Full Business Case that will be submitted to the UK and Scottish Governments. Progression to concept design and subsequent stages will be subject to approval of this Full Business Case by both Governments.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The project sits within the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal and is being funded by UK and Scottish Governments. Total project spend is GBP 8M and the Dairy Nexus will provide a flagship facility that re-positions the Borderlands at the forefront of industry-focused, rural co-innovation and knowledge exchange. It will drive transformational research and innovation to decarbonise the dairy sector and move it towards a circular bioeconomy. In doing so, Dairy Nexus will deliver significant and inclusive regional growth to underpin the rural communities that are so important to the Borderlands economy and its regional identity.

The initial phase of the Dairy Nexus project will focus on RIBA Stage 1 which includes the completion of a feasibility study for inclusion in the Full Business Case that will be submitted to the UK and Scottish Governments. Progression to concept design and subsequent stages will be subject to approval of this Full Business Case by both Governments.

At this time, SRUC will commit to completion of RIBA Stage 1. Progress to RIBA work stages 2 – 7 will be dependent on appropriate funding being secured by SRUC. Contract performance will be reviewed at the conclusion of each RIBA work stage.
