two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Association’s stock of properties approx 1800 units, half of which are located in Penrith. The stock consists of houses, flats and bungalows (including sheltered housing) and, outside of Penrith, much of this is scattered through a number of market towns and small rural villages in the greater Eden Valley. A small number of properties are located in rural areas adjoining the Eden district. The stock maintained consists of occupied or vacant dwellings, associated communal areas and facilities.

three.1.1) Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers

List and brief description of conditions

It is a mandatory requirement that the Contractor shall employ a competent approved electrician who has completed a recognised electrical qualification including AM2, an updated version of the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations Course to C&G 2382-22 standard and an Electrical Testing Course to C&G 2391 standard to undertake the testing. A qualifying supervisor of equal or higher competence to supervise the work.

The testing shall be carried out in accordance with BS 7671:2018 Regulations for Electrical Installations (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition, with amendments A2:2022) and its accompanying IET guidance note 3 Inspection and Testing 9th Edition

Electro Technical Certification Scheme (ECS)

A NICEIC registration Number is required.
