two.1.4) Short description

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as the Authority intends to put in place a dynamic purchasing system for the provision of Construction Related Professional Services.

The DPS will offer an alternative route to market. It will focus on lower value contracts and will look to attract SME's and niche specialists to the category, therefore complementing the existing CPS framework and providing customers with a range of procurement solutions.

The DPS will offer a varied range of technical advice for estates, property and building works, including environmental and sustainability service provision. These will include services such as project management, civil and structural engineering, building services engineering and carbon reduction advice.

The proposed DPS filters, subject to engagement are to be Services, Disciplines, and Regions.

The DPS is to be utilised by Central Government Departments and all other UK Public Sector Bodies, including but not limited to, Local Authorities, Health, Police, Fire and Rescue, Education, Housing, Charities, Not for Profit, Nuclear and Devolved Administrations and International.

This DPS remains open for any supplier to request to participate throughout its 48-month duration. CCS reserves the right to reduce, extend or terminate the DPS period at any time during its lifetime in accordance with the terms set out in the DPS agreement.

The DPS will provide a wide range of industry expert construction professional services at discreet delivery stages (from inception to completion). The services are intended to support eligible public sector bodies in delivering a wide and varied range of major and minor building, and civil engineering projects at locations throughout the UK.

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as the Authority intends to put in place a dynamic purchasing system for the provision of Construction Related Professional Services. It is intended the DPS will run alongside the Construction Professional Service Framework RM6165 and will be utilised by eligible Central Government Departments and all other UK Public Sector Bodies, including but not limited to, Local Authorities, Health, Police, Fire and Rescue, Education, Housing, Charities, Not for Profit, Nuclear and Devolved Administrations and International.

This Prior Information Notice is to signal an intention to commence market engagement with those within the Construction Professional Services market.

CCS is committed to developing routes to market that offer opportunities to organisations of all sizes and on the back of extensive supply chain engagement Crown Commercial Service Category Team has developed a Category Strategy that is designed to offer a wide portfolio of construction professional services at locations throughout the UK. It is envisaged that the DPS will support the construction services market regionally and allow organisations of all sizes to have access to those opportunities.

It is planned that the DPS will be live at the same time as the RM6165 framework. During market engagement Crown Commercial Service will invite suggestions and feedback on the proposed structure of the DPS from the market including industry experts, specialists, suppliers and potential customers.

CCS aims to start market engagement 6th May 2021 via a supplier survey, to gather feedback on the DPS basis of design.
