two.1.4) Short description

Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) is procuring a framework agreement and seeking bids from consortiums consisting of a supplier of bike and electric bikes and an operator who will deliver an on street public self-service Bike share scheme to be used by residents, workers and visitors in the Brighton and Hove area. One company may bid for both places on the framework Agreement. Other local authorities across the South East Region of England will be able to access the Framework Agreement and establish their own schemes by entering into call off contracts with the supplier and the operator. The BHCC Scheme will include a minimum of 780 bikes, 50% of which will be EAPCs (Electric assist pedal cycles or 'e-bikes') The hub network will include at least 86 locations city wide and must be operational by March 2023 it is anticipated that the contract commencement date will be in December 2022 when the mobilisation period will commence. the BHCC scheme will run for 4 years.
