The University of Northampton is seeking an efficient, innovative, high quality window cleaning, building fabric, architectural features cleaning service, conducted in an environmentally sound and sustainable manner. The service will also include graffiti removal, high level internal glazing, signage and ad hoc cleaning of the external features of buildings, glazing or street furniture. High level guttering should also be included as part of programme of works.The University currently utilises a contractor that supplies 2 full time equivalent (FTE) to achieve its external cleaning requirements (including internal glazing.) Whilst the University of Northampton is looking for a tender based on this system, we are also open to suggestions for improved methods of running the contract.The contract shall be for a period of 3 years with the possibility entirely at the University’s discretion for up to 2 further one-year extensions.The contract start date will be September 2021.

The service will also include graffiti removal, high level internal glazing, signage and ad hoc cleaning of the external features of buildings, glazing or street furniture. High level guttering should also be included as part of program of works. The University requires an organisation to provide the services outlined from September 2021 and contract shall be for a period of 3 years with the possibility entirely at the University’s discretion for up to 2 further one-year extensions.

The University shall not be liable for any costs or expenses (of any nature) incurred by any prospective service provider (or any of its consortium members or sub-contractors) in responding to this notice or in participating in this procurement process, including (without limitation) if the University cancels or amends this procurement process or makes no contract award. The estimated contract value is 270000 GBP for the 3-year term and would be an estimated 450000 GBP if the contract was extended by 2 additional 1 year extensions.
