Natural Resources Wales (NRW) owns and manages approximately 135,000 hectares of land in Wales, ranging from national nature reserves to commercial forests and flood assets. NRW occasionally needs to supplement it’s in house fleet of un-operated plant and equipment because of peaks in workload, or because specialist items are required which are not on the NRW fleet list. Plant may also be required because low utilisation of some items would make them uneconomic to purchase, or to respond to emergency incidents such as flooding at short notice.
