Roof replacement works on the Maurice Thornton Pavilion

Schedule of works

• Heras fencing to be erected to secure the site during works and site to

be left secure to prevent any unauthorised access out of hours

• Erect scaffold around the property to meet health and safety

requirements

• Efforts to be made to try and prevent unauthorised access to the

scaffold

• Provide skips for waste and remove from site once full to prevent the

risk of fly tipping.

• Remove all the existing ridge tiles and roof tiles from the main roof and

stack all the roof tiles neatly onto the scaffolding so they are ready to be

disposed of

• Remove all the existing battens and felt and dispose into a skip and

arrange for skip collection on the same day

• Sweep all soffit areas

• Install new 5u guttering felt along the bottom of the roof making sure

50ml lays into the guttering

• Install new breathable Tyvek membrane felt to the roof making sure all

laps and folds are correct

• Install new blue treated 25x38 battens to the roof, making sure they are

fixed to the correct gage to suit the roof tiles and fixed with new 65mm

galvanised nails

• Install new vandal resistant tiles making sure every tile is clipped and

fixed to the batten with new 38ml alloy clouts if needed to secure

• Tiles must be made from recycled polymers or similar. PLEASE QUOTE

FOR USING: Tapco Roofing Products or Envirotile. Two quotes will be

needed to see what is the best option that is within the £23k budget

• Install all new ridge system to the main roof fixing them correctly using

new clip fittings

• clean all fascia and soffits around the building and check all guttering

• Clean windows below

• Remove scaffold from building and heras fencing

Tidy up area around pavilion
