This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and not a call for competition, in advance of the procurement of a multi-supplier framework agreement for the supply of Procedure Packs. These packs typically include, but shall not be limited to; drapes and gowns, swabs, blades, syringes, polyware, or any specific single use consumables a surgeon requires to perform the procedure. The specialist areas which these packs may be utilised in shall be but are not limited to: Cardio-vascular; Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT); General and abdominal surgery, including laparoscopy; Obstetrics and gynaecology; Neurosurgery; Ophthalmology; Orthopaedics; Plastic surgery; Urology; Angiography; Antiseptic skin preparation; Catheterisation; Haemodialysis; Perfusion and IV therapy; Regional anaesthesia; Suturing and wound care packs.

six.3) Additional information

This is a Prior Information Notice only. Collaborative Procurement Partnership LLP (CPP LLP) acting on behalf of Supply Chain Coordination Ltd (SCCL) are commencing this tender exercise. However, please be advised that with effect from 1st May 2023, CPP LLP will no longer be acting as SCCL’s agent in relation to this procurement. Therefore, SCCL will execute the resultant framework agreement with successful bidders.

This PIN is intended to invite supplier engagement to further assist of the procurement and overall solution. It is anticipated that there will be supplier engagement which will cover the intended sourcing approach, regulatory compliance expectations within the ITT procedure and social value & carbon reduction plan requirements. Expressions of interest for the supplier engagement must be received by 13:00BST on 17 April 2023. The supplier engagement will take place in the form of a webinar and/or MS Teams Meetings and either will be arranged on or before the 20 April 2023. Supplier engagement will be carried out in accordance with Regulation 40 and 41 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.

It is anticipated that the tender documents and Contract Notice will be published at the end of May 2023. It is intended that the Framework Agreement will be let for an initial term of 2 years, with optional extensions to not exceed a maximum 4 years overall.

Although this PIN is not currently split into lots, the Authority reserves right to introduce a lot structure at the point of ITT publication.
