NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (DDCCG) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit services (PICU) to meet the Derbyshire population needs. NHS Arden & GEM CSU is acting as an agent for and on behalf of DDCCG and is supporting the procurement process.

DDCCG wish to procure a block contract agreement for the provision of care and support for 9 Males (Lot 1) and 4 Females (Lot 2) block beds. In addition a Spot-purchase (Lot 3) contract agreement is also being tendered where individual placements can be called-off against agreed terms and conditions due to fluctuating demand.

With fluctuating demand there may be times when additional service provision is required above the block contract agreements. DDCCG wish to enter into a Spot-purchase contract agreement where individual placements can be called-off against agreed terms and conditions. The Spot- purchase arrangement is for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st November 2021 to 31st October 2023) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 30th September 2025).

Any bid that exceed the maximum tariff of £850.00 will be excluded.

To ensure care is contracted to meet demand DDCCG wish to procure a block contract agreement for the provision of care and support for 9 Males (Lot 1) and 4 Females (Lot 2) for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st February 2022 to 31st January 2024) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 31st December 2025).

A Spot purchase contract (Lot 3) for additional capacity is being commissioned for an initial period of 2 years (commencing from 1st November 2021 to 31st October 2023) with an option to extend for up to a maximum of a further 23 months (until 30th September 2025).
