The Client is looking for a Supplier experienced in providing tourism product databases and associated services in that sector.

This re-procurement offers the Client the opportunity to improve the WTPD by:
- increasing product coverage through implementing: an easy to use and reliable multilingual digital interface for tourism related organisations to list accommodation, attractions, activities and events and see key statistics for their products; a helpline / live-chat service for organisations that need help listing or amending products; a service to gather and input key tourism events;
- improving data quality through putting in place: an easy to use and reliable digital interface for tourism related organisations to update their listings; a module/s that can automatically check draft listings (against agreed set criteria); a service to check listings before they go live on the WTPD;
- developing additional functions including: capacity for each listing to be able to include high quality images and videos; capability for listings to include user generated content from social media and other channels; incorporate fields for “the travel trade” and “business events”;
- simplifying the current systems and contracts; and
- reduce costs, through increased system automation and customer self-service.

The Contract will have the following main phases:
i. a four month implementation phase (at a fixed price) - from the contract award date - to build the future WTPD (incl. a new interface) and migrate data from the existing WTPD;
ii. a parallel four-month phase - from the contract award date - to set up the public helpline / data stewardship service;
iii. ongoing software, hosting, maintenance and account management (at an agreed annual cost over the lifetime of the Contract);
iv. an ongoing public helpline / data stewardship service (at an agreed annual cost over the lifetime of the Contract); and
v. a development function (against a rate card).
A six month extension period has been implemented to cover the implementation period of a new contract.
