two.1.4) Short description
The Police and Crime Commissioners for Gwent and South Wales have a requirement for the provision for catering for planned and unplanned events and invite catering organisations to tender.
Planned operational events are scheduled and organised in advance. The majority of events requiring catering take place at weekends and/or public holidays and examples are football matches, other sporting events, royal visits, demonstrations, concerts, marches, etc. A number of unplanned major incidents are also likely throughout the force areas during the Contract Period. The number of such events are unpredictable and unknown and may occur at short notice. The catering will take the form of producing and delivering packed lunches to the police officers and staff on duty at such events. Further details are included in the tender documentation.
The Service requirements are split into two geographical lots:
