The scope of Transport for London's Zero Emission Fleet (ZEF) programme is to transition its operational support fleet of vehicles to being zero emission.

As part of this process, there is a requirement to upgrade infrastructure across the Transport for London network to accommodate the new fleet, including the installation of electric vehicle charge points.

This Prior Information Notice relates to the charging infrastructure aspect of the ZEF programme.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The ZEF programme is looking into the possibility of contracting with a supplier(s) to provide any, or all, of the following goods and services:

Feasibility studies, design, supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and associated fleet electrification consultancy services.

The procured charging infrastructure will support Transport for London's operational fleet of circa 1,000 vehicles and will be located at a number of sites across London, including depots, tube stations, bus stations, offices, etc.

two.2.14) Additional information

This Prior Information Notice is being issued for the primary reason of seeking information from the market ahead of launching the ZEF Charging Infrastructure procurement, which is anticipated to commence later in 2024.

Engagement is being sought via a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) which aims to gather feedback from potential suppliers including, but not limited to: market interest, understanding and outlook, delivery models, charging solutions, site selection and risks and issues.

Please note the deadline for submitting an MSQ response is 12:00 (Noon) on 28 March 2024.
