NHS England, Highly Specialised Services (referred to as the Commissioner) is awarding to suitably qualified and experienced providers for the Provision of Amyloidosis Networked Model of Care services, following a Competitive Process. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of the Commissioner and is supporting the provider selection process.

Amyloidosis is the name for a group of rare, serious conditions caused by a build-up of an abnormal protein, called amyloid, in organs and tissues throughout the body. The build-up of amyloid proteins (deposits) can make it difficult for the organs and tissues to work properly.

The key objectives of the Competitive Process was to commission a networked model of care for Amyloidosis services to establish four regional centres under this initial process. This is to ensure a good level of access in place that is able to meet the expected demand for the service.

The regional centres are proposed to be in the:
• Lot 2 - Midlands
• Lot 3 - North West

Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by Tuesday 11 March 2025.
