Surrey County Council are seeking tender submissions for Care Within the Home Services. These services will be procured through a Dynamic Purchasing System. The DPS will commence on 1st October 2021 and will be in place for two years with the option to extend up to a further four years (2+2).

Home Based Care includes Specialist Services for people with additional needs and future ambition for HBC Carers BreaksHome Based Care (HBC) covers the provision of personal care to individuals in their own home. The regulated activity ‘personal care’ involves supporting people in their homes (or where they are living at the time) with things like washing, bathing, or cleaning themselves, getting dressed or going to the toilet.

The CHC team commission High Needs packages for people who have complex health needs.The HBC complex care service will include the provision of trained care staff who have appropriate skills and competencies to meet an individual’s assessed health needs. The service may also include using specialist equipment and stock control of ancillary supplies, prescription management as required by the individual and set out in their care plan. Individuals may have a range of complex health needs and/or a significant disability and/or an additional mental health need that impacts upon their daily lives. The service may also be required to support families/carers.
