This notice gives prior information of a forthcoming procurement process that will establish a successor framework to the existing Southern Construction Framework (SCF).
The SCF framework supports construction projects and is available (but not limited) to all public sector clients across SW England, SE England and London. The framework and its predecessors have delivered in excess of £7,000,000,000 of construction work since 2006.
Contractors are invited to join an online Supplier Information Event on 12.4.2022 commencing at 10:30 am.

The intent is to brief contractors on the positioning of SCF in the market, our operating model and to advise on the SCF 5 open tender process due to start in June 2022, in accordance with the Public Sector Regulations
For the avoidance of doubt, the framework capped value of £4.5bn is intended to allow for exceptional circumstances without the need to re-procure the framework prematurely, for business planning purposes contractors should anticipate a target workload of 50% of the published maximum figures.

The SCF is a framework operated by Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council and delivers a managed service to local and central government bodies over the geography as described above.
The SCF fully embraces the ethos of implementing best practice in frameworks as set out in "Constructing The Gold Standard - An Independent Review of Public Sector Construction Frameworks" published by The Cabinet office in December 2021, together with the "The Construction Playbook", which was launched by the Cabinet Office in 2020 with the aim of making sure the public sector and construction industry work together better to deliver key infrastructure projects.
