Transport for Wales is looking to appoint a maximum of 10 suppliers to 2 separate lots to provide materials which make up the structural main part steelwork and circular hollow section steel piling of a rail OLE system. The main delivery of these products will be for the Core Valley Lines including City & Penarth Lines (CVL) but may also be on any Wales and Boarders rail network project as appropriate.

The materials are required to facilitate the electrification of the CVL. The CVL electrification is required to provide a more efficient and faster rail infrastructure and to support the wider CVL upgrades & enhancements and a new rolling fleet.

Suppliers are to be aware that Amey Infrastructure Wales (AIW) may also utilise this framework.

The OLE design is to be based on UK Master Series with a focus on the UKMS100 design range. TfW are looking for suppliers who are able to supply the following items for Railway Overhead Line Electrification:

- Main Part Steel (MPS)

o Masts

o Portal booms

o Twin track cantilever (TTC) boom

o Mast and boom brackets/attachments

Please note there is a requirement to supply all materials within this lot with sub-contracting opportunities.

It is anticipated that a maximum of 5 suppliers will be awarded to this lot. TfW reserves the right to amend the number of suppliers appointed.

There may also be a requirement for the Suppliers to provide bespoke material to support the structure of Masts.

Compliance with all Network Rail, ISO, EU and CE standards are a mandated requirement.

This Framework seeks to appoint a maximum of five (5) suppliers to two (2) separate lots to provide materials which make up the structural main part steelwork and circular hollow section steel piling of a rail OLE system for the Core Valley Lines. The materials are required to facilitate the electrification of the CVL. The CVL electrification is required to provide a more efficient and faster rail infrastructure and to support the wider CVL upgrades & enhancements and a new rolling fleet. TfW reserves the right to utilise this Framework Agreement for works that fall outside of the CVL.
