The purpose of this project is to deliver a fabric-first, whole-house retrofit to seventy-four (74) non-traditional “crosswall” homes in Paisley to the Passivhaus EnerPHit Standard. The homes are all either mid-terrace or end of terrace in viable communities popular with residents.
The project will see external insulation and roof works fitted to seventy-four (74) council owned units [end terraced/mid terraced] through offsite preconstructed panels assembled and fitted onsite to achieve higher energy efficiency [EnerPhit] level of insulation. The project is part of the Department of Business Energy & Industrial Strategy’s [BEIS] “Retro Fit Challenge” competition.
