Explanation:
Warwickshire Police payroll services are currently delivered via a combination of the West Mercia Police hosted payroll team and a payroll bureau service from an external supplier, Liberata.
The West Mercia hosted service arrangement ends on 30 September 2021. A planned collaboration between Warwickshire Police and West Midlands Police who were due to take on the payroll service from September 2021 ended unexpectedly.
To ensure business continuity it has been determined that the optimal solution for Warwickshire Police is for Liberata to continue to deliver the current bureau service in addition to the services currently delivered by West Mercia, thereby providing a fully managed payroll service. This contract award is therefore an extension of the existing service with Liberata. It is anticipated that payroll services will be subject to external competition in 2023.
