seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
Within it's procurement documents published as part of the Further Competition, the Authority included a discretionary provision for a six (6) month extension to the agreement. The Authority therefore considers it has met the requirements of reg. 72(1)a of the Regulations.

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
The Authority's FSM programme has been negatively impacted by various external factors beyond the control of either the Authority or the Supplier. These external factors have resulted in a delay to completion of the FSM programme and necessitated that the six (6) month discretionary extension be exercised to successfully complete the programme.
