GHFT (Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) “the Authority” invites Bidders to compete Clinical Coding Services.
On a monthly basis, the Clinical Coding department operates to strict deadlines in fulfilling clinical data set reporting and audit requirements, necessary to meet commissioning obligations and the collection of income under the payment by results regime. The coding department is responsible for the completion / allocation of clinical codes against all finished consultant episodes (FCEs) undertaken in each month.
Clinical coding is a specialist activity, whereby clinical codes are applied to medical records, using International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Office of Population Censuses and Surveys Classification of Surgical Operations and Procedures (OPCS) codes. Staff members are required to undertake specialist training and achieve National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) accredited status.
This contract is being tendered under the restricted procedure. The documentation will be sent out to the market in accordance with this Notice. The documents list shall be sent out together as a single Tender document pack for completion in line with the PCR 2015 regulations.
