NHSD&G wishes to appoint a Contractor to provide Window Cleaning Services throughout Dumfries & Galloway in line with the requirements of: “Design for safety in use and during cleaning of windows, including door-height windows and roof windows – Code of practice” BS 8213-1:2004, Windows Doors & Rooflights BS EN 7985, “Safe Use of Aluminium Ladders” BS EN 2037 and “Safe Use of Wood Ladders” BS 1129. The works indicated above shall enable the Client to demonstrate compliance with the relevant sections of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and supporting documentation such as COSHH Regulations 2002, Working from Height Regulations 2005, IPAF trained, PASMA trained, and any other relevant guidance, legislation or competences applicable to the works associated with this contract.
