The council is a landlord to around 35,000 council tenants and leaseholders living in homes located across the borough. As a landlord the council is responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and structural integrity of our buildings and providing a secure and well-maintained environment for tenants.

The council is seeking to appoint one (1) contractor to cover borough wide repairs as well as assisting the in-house team with out of hours emergency cover. This contract encompasses a wide range of brickwork-related tasks, including repairs to residential properties, estates, communal areas, and facilities. Specific duties involve rebuilding boundary and party walls, tank housings, and performing localised repointing. Additionally, the scope extends to ground works, paving, blockworks, and elevated structures such as chimney stacks and parapet walls.

The appointed supplier will support the council’s in-house teams in delivering efficient, effective, and customer-focused brickwork repairs.
