Kent County Council is embarking on a journey to transform social care in Kent. Within the context of this opportunity, it is imperative that individuals are at the heart of the care and support they receive, which should be easy to access, of good quality and that maximises their ability to live independently and safely in their community.
This commissioning exercise will include Residential Care Home Services (learning disability, physical disability and mental health needs), Supported Living Services and Care and Support in the Home Children's Services.

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates:
The Council has estimated that up to 200 providers may be needed to join this framework, based on current demand. Tenderers that have met all mandatory criteria, and have submitted pricing in line with the cost model document will be considered for a place on the framework. Consideration must be made to having a spread of potential residential providers across all geographical areas of Kent and across the required needs categories.
