The outcomes for this element of the Service include developing independence, personal achievements, enjoyment, social skills and friendships, staying safe and managing self and short breaks for carers. Where a CYP Service User does not have personal care needs, then the Supplier in these circumstances will not need to be CQC registered. To provide enabling support, the worker will usually need to have access to suitable transport and / or support the CYP to use public transport. There is currently no immediate requirement for Lot 1 (community enabling support) services. Cases previously on the waiting list for this Lot are being served by BBC’s in-house sessional team, although there is likely to be some future requirement in Lot 1, if this team is unable to manage volumes or needs.
