two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMet) is a statutory corporation and exempt charity created by the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. Since 29th November 2022 BMet has been classified as a Public Sector organisation.

As a Further Education (FE) College, BMet’s primary purpose is to offer high-quality academic, technical and vocational education to people of all ages and to work with employers to identify and respond to local, regional and national skills needs. BMet has approximately 10,000 students and an average of 750 staff across three main campuses and two satellite centres. The three main locations are Matthew Boulton College (Birmingham City Centre); James Watt College (Great Barr); and Sutton Coldfield College.

BMet are seeking a provider for the the provision of Human Resources and Payroll system. The contract will be awarded for a period of 3 years commencing 6th April 2026 with an option to extend for a further one plus one years, although work will commence in summer
