Given the nature of the sites the service required is somewhat unique but is akin to a combination of civil enforcement officer services, with security responsibilities.

Supporting Security and Operational Services for the GLA Scope:

Officers supplied to City Hall under this contract would supplement and work alongside the GLA’s own in-house security team, participating in all areas of the operations as needed in periods of demand.

The GLA organises a number of events each year at various venues around London, e.g. the six-monthly People’s Question Time and annual State of London Debate. The supplier would take responsibility for carrying out the pre-event reconnaissance, recommending security staffing levels (which may include bodyguards) and preparing the security plan, risk assessments and method statements as well as providing security services during the event.
