two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The demolition and construction and associated external works in connection with the replacement of the existing welfare and depot facilities at, Accrington Cemetery, Burnley Road Accrington, BB5 6HA.
It is strongly advised that; the contractor should visit the site to determine the site constraints and accessibility for the proposed works, taking into account the prevailing ground conditions and levels, existing buildings and site restrictions. The site is generally open to the public however should you require an accompanied visit please contact the sender.
The cemetery and crematorium will remain open for burials and cremations during the works and the contractor will need to take account of this in preparing their program of works and construction phase health and safety plan.
In order for your submission to be considered, please provide one copy of each of the attached documents:

For the purposes of this tender we will be operating a two envelope system as detailed below, failure to adhere by the instructions may invalidate the tender return.
One copy of the contract documents, duly completed and signed, shall be placed within a sealed self-addressed envelope (1), this envelope should then be placed in a second sealed envelope (2). The sealed envelopes shall then be delivered to: Hyndburn Borough Council, Environmental Services, Willows Lane Depot, Willows Lane, Accrington, Lancashire, BB5 0RT. The envelope or cover (2) must not bear any mark indicating the sender but should be endorsed in the lower left corner with the scheme title "Accrington Cemetery Depot Tender" and date for return., tender return date: 14:00hrs on Monday April 4th 2022.
