The overall aim is for SENDIASS to work in partnership to contribute to better outcomes for children and young people with SEND by:
Providing free, confidential and impartial information, advice and support for children, young people and their parents and be available 52 weeks of the year;
Providing accurate and accessible information, advice and support;
Ensuring information, advice and support promotes independence and self-advocacy for young people;
Supporting and empowering parents and carers to understand the graduated approach to SEND and to access early intervention and prevention services; and
Working together with young people/youth and Parent/carer forums to ensure views and experiences inform and shape local policy and practice.
