East Staffordshire Borough Council is seeking organisations to provide grounds maintenance services including burials and emergency works.

There are three Lots:

Lot 1: Grounds Maintenance

Lot 2: Cemetery Grounds Maintenance and Burials

Lot 3: Trees and Hedges

The Authority is therefore seeking suitably qualified organisations to bid for a single Lot or a combination of Lots.

The proposed Contract is for an initial term of five (5) years with the option to extend for up to a further five (5) years.

The contract is due to commence from 1st November 2021.

Lot 1 is a contract for an organisation to provide grounds maintenance services at the Authority’s open spaces in East Staffordshire including emergency works and winter gritting on Council car parks and land drainage.

This lot has particular focus on:

•Grass cutting and maintenance

•Pitch preparation and maintenance (leisure)

•Shrub bed maintenance, reinstatement and new works

•Herbaceous bed maintenance and new works

•Summer and spring beds and hanging baskets

•Chemical control

•Play site inspections and maintenance

•Furniture fittings and fences

•Litter picking

•Bin emptying and cleansing

•Filling and delivery of sandbags during flooding incidents

•Opening and locking of car park barriers

•Winter gritting

•Emergency works

•Land Drainage

The proposed Contract is for an initial term of five (5) years with the option to extend up to a further five (5) years.
