two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Clarion has carried out a nationwide review of all its properties located within potential affected areas as identified by PHE, and compiled a list of dwellings that it will require the contractor to undertake radon gas monitoring within. The list has been compiled in accordance with Clarion’s Radon Gas Policy and as such, may be widened in scope following initial sample monitoring results obtained from dwellings located within larger block type properties.

The service to be provided by the contractor is for the successful operational management, delivery and day-to-day running of a radon gas monitoring programme, carried out on behalf of Clarion to meet its obligations as a responsible landlord and comply with current best practice guidance and industry sector requirements. The services provided by the contractor will include all resident communications, correspondence, appointment scheduling and undertaking of the monitoring process in relation to the programme. It will include the successful and time sensitive ordering, delivery, and placement of radon gas detectors within resident’s homes in accordance with Public Health England (PHE) published guidance and the collection and returning of detectors within accepted time limits to PHE for laboratory analysis and subsequent reporting of monitoring results to Clarion and its residents.
