two.1.4) Short description

By January 2027, analogue telephone services accessed by the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) will be switched off as the UK's telecoms infrastructure is upgraded to digital connectivity. This has a number of implications for LiveWest and its customers, primarily due to the components in our homes that use telephone lines to connect with the outside world. This includes:

- Telecare alarm systems

- Smoke alarm systems

- Door Entry Systems

To ensure that we are keeping customers safe and can continue to provide services, LiveWest needs to replace or upgrade the analogue dependent components on our schemes and in our offices with a “digital ready” equivalent before January 2027.
