The Framework Agreement is to provide GP Systems to circa 400 GP Practices in Wales and will be used by an estimated 10,000 GPs and Practice Staff. The term is required to provide both the Authority and Suppliers a feasible duration of service delivery to undertake installation, integration and implementing the solutions which underpin the delivery of primary care in Wales.

NHS Wales Informatics Service will be established as a separate legal body (a Special Health Authority (“SHA”)), anticipated to "go live" on 1st April 2021. Bidders should be aware that the new SHA will replace Velindre NHS Trust as the contracting authority and as the signatory to this Agreement when the new SHA is established. If the Agreement has been entered into at that stage, then the new SHA will assume all rights and liabilities of the Trust as if it had been the signatory to this Agreement from the start.
