two.1.4) Short description
The Guinness Partnership Limited is seeking to establish a framework of suppliers to deliver
Grounds Maintenance Services and Tree Works across our estates for a period of four years.
The grounds maintenance service will be on a scheduled service and the core elements include:
i Management of grassed areas including mowing and strimming.
ii Maintenance of shrub beds including pruning.
iii Hedge-cutting.
iv Weed control.
v Leaf collection and removal.
vi Maintenance of ditch-side vegetation, culverts.
vii Additional service for bin emptying and extra attendance for litter-picking on specified schemes.
viii Maintenance of hard standings.
ix Site cleansing on selected sites (optional extra requirement on a schedule of rates)
Tree works will include an element of scheduled works to maintain the condition and reliability of a tree, reactive tree work identified through hazard assessments and some emergency tree works.

The contracting authority reserves the right to award contracts combining the following lots
or groups of lots:
Where an Organisation bids for lot 11, 12, 13 or 14 (combined lots), they may also bid for lots 1
to 10 (individual lots). Please note that any bids submitted for the combined lots will not
automatically be considered for the corresponding individual lots and vice versa unless also
bidding for those lots. If an Organisation is successful at tender stage in both the combined
and the individual lots, only the combined lot will be awarded. The individual lots will be
awarded to the subsequent ranked Organisation for that lot.
It will not be possible to be awarded both lots 11 and 12 or lots 8 and 14.
Where an Organisation has bid for lots 1 – 10, we reserve the right to only award up to a
maximum of three lots.
