two.1.4) Short description

The scope of this tender is to review proposals for the Provision of Tree Management Services. The area in scope of this contract is located across all land in Valleys to Coast ownership within Bridgend County Borough. Valleys to Coast is looking to commence works with the appointed Contractor from May 2023.The contract term will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 1 year (3+1).

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Valleys to Coast will review the 3 yearly tree condition survey and allocate the remedial works in line with the priority of the work as well as the allocated budget.

On receipt of tree reports from internal/external stakeholders, Valleys to Coast will internally review the tree/s in question. If required, the tree/s will be referred to the appointed contractor to conduct a formal inspection and report whether works are required.

Proactive works flow:

- Remedial works sent to the contractor.

- Contractor to provide costs to Communities Estates Officer.

- Purchase Order raised and works authorised by Communities Estates Officer.

- Works completed by contractor with before and after photos included in the completion report to be sent to the Communities Estates Officer.

Reactive works flow:

- Tree referred to contractor for review.

- Formal inspection conducted and any recommendations/costs documented electronically and sent to Communities Estates Officer for review.

- Purchase Order raised and works authorised by Communities Estates Officer.

- Works completed by contractor with before and after photos included in the completion report to be sent to the Communities Estates Officer.
