Wolverhampton City Council are looking for a contractor/contractors to support with the Provision of Tree Maintenance and Arboriculture services. The contract needs to cover all areas of Tree Maintenance and surveying works, the scope of which is briefly outlined below.
The works will comprise of but are not limited to:
• Surveying and inspection of trees
o To complete requested Tree inspections and reporting within the Confirm Connect database. An experienced, working knowledge of this platform is essential.
• Routine Maintenance work on trees in line with BS3998
o Support in the management of trees identified through inspection as being dead, dying and/or dangerous and presenting a serious risk to the safety of the public and property; or in need of pro-active management to prevent them from becoming so.
o Utilisation of contractor’s experience and ability to conduct larger works, including the supply of appropriate equipment and trained professionals to complete the task.
• Emergency call out work
o To deal with dangerous or fallen trees caused by storm damage or other unpredictable events
The new contract ensures that the Council continues to provide high standards of arboriculture inspections and maintenance alongside a commitment to sustainable practices and reduction in carbon emissions.
The key objectives for this contract are to support the team in:
• A collaborative long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both parties.
• Continuous improvements in service provision, best practice, quality and cost control.
• A focus on sustainability and reduction in carbon emissions across the contract term.
• Value for money, with an open and transparent approach to operating the contract.
• An excellent responsive service to the Council and other stakeholders.
• The use of technology to support effective service delivery.
• An experienced and effective management team to successfully provide the full range of services listed.
• Continuity of services’ including a seamless transfer.
• A highly skilled flexible workforce
This contract is divided into 2 Lots for the coverage of 2 areas:
