Single supplier - technical reasons
CFES Ltd is the incumbent provider responsible for the design, installation, and ongoing technical configuration of the existing SSD AHU and IAP ventilation systems across both Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital sites. The systems are bespoke, highly integrated, and interdependent with CFES-designed components, controls, and software. Engaging an alternative provider would introduce significant technical, clinical, and programme risk, including extended shutdown periods, system incompatibility, and potential non-compliance with HTM 03-01 requirements. For these reasons, no reasonable alternative supplier can deliver the required scope without material disruption to SSD operations.
